Guest guest
I just got back from an appointment with a chiropractor, and it was wayy cool!! Not my bones cracking, btw =) He does 'applied kineseology' or something like that, where he tests reflexes of your body to find out if it's having problems. Like, he would have me hold my arm out and keep him from pushing it down. Then, he would put his hand over a part of my abdomen that corresponded to an organ, and if my muscle got weaker and he could then push my arm down, there was an issue. If not, 'sall good! So some things I learned were: 1) I definitely still have UC and not Crohns, cuz when he waved over my small intestine and stomach my muscle didn't get weaker. Over my colon...oh boy. Oh! That reminds me. The cooolest thing ever was that when he found a muscle weakness, he would find a supplement that could possibly help the organ in question. Then he put it in your other hand and tried to push down your arm again. If your body wanted it, you wouldn't have the weakness. So when he got to my colon, he put digestive enzymes in my hand and probiotics, and the weakness went away!!! It was so amazingly awesome. It was like my body was talking to me! Unfortunately the probiotics had bifidus in it, and I told him that it was illegal on SCD (he's familiar with it..another plus!) b/c it could overgrow. He said he didn't think my reflexes would like it if it would be bad for my body though, so I'm still considering it. The enzymes and probiotics didn't have any other illegals in them, I don't think. 2) My pancreas had issues too, but I think they went away with me holding the enzymes. 3) My adrenals had issues, and they went away holding this supplement with vitamins and cow organs in it, but I'm gonna wait on that one. It's gonna take me forever to intro things if I have to intro all these supps first! 4) The only other thing he did was have me put my hand over 4 homeopathic med bottles at a time, and do the arm-weak test. The only one that made my arm weak was this heavy metals one, so apparently my body has too many heavy metals. Because when I was holding the homeopathic med at the same time as a supp that would help heavy metal overload, the weakness was gone. So basically, wayyyy cool! It's like your body talking to you. SO if you've never been to one of these...try it! Oh! Almost forgot. 5) You know how I was on L glutamine twice, and both times my liver enzymes went super high up? Well, he had me hold L glutamine while doing the arm test with my liver and guess what: weakness! My liver does not like L glutamine. So that basically proves to me that there is definitely truth to what this guy does.
