Guest guest
Eileen, You know the dance by now.. In order for something to be legal we need a letterhead from the company. Plus Marilyn addressed this already. I would not use the powdered onion, garlic spices as junk like anti caking agents can be added to them. The other 2 should be fine. Guest guest
Penzey's pices are not all legal, just watch out for that.Speaking of this, I got greek seasoning as a sample for free along with my order for garlic and onion powder. These are the ingredients: coarse salt, garlic, lemon, black pepper, Turkish oregano, marjoram.Think it's okay, or is it bad since it's a mixture? It looks legal, since we have established that Penzey's onion and garlic is probably OK. However, I don't trust spice mixtures, even Penzey's, because so many mixtures have junk in them. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund

I'm sorry you were insulted. Yes, I typically say that the only stupid question is the one you don't ask. But when you repost a question which has been answered several times, I can't necessarily discern that you are asking about something else in the same question -- which has already been answered. The answer is: INDIVIDUAL SPICES are generally SCD-legal, unless the label indicates something illegal has been added. Without running out to Whole Foods to look at the labels, I can't tell you anything more. I'm sorry I'm too slow for your taste -- having my mother dying by inches, day by day, with me helpless to do anything about it, does not always make me as quick on the uptake as I might be. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
