For a counter perspective on the whole GMO thing from a farmer see this: http://www.american.com/archive/2009/july/the-omnivore2019s-delusion-against-the\ -agri-intellectuals It might not change any opinions, but it is interesting to see the other side laid out with intelligent argumentations by a farmer. Guest guest
Given that the article is presented on the American Enterprise Institute website makes it instantly suspect to me. Call me cynical, which I am when it comes to Agri-Business. Agri-Business does not have your health in mind. Guest guest
The farmer’s point of view is valid. What I object to is the title of the article. It seems to be a smear on the wildly popular book The Omnivore’s Delight by Pollan. Just sayin’. Or did you let the website make up your mind for you? The guy writing it is a farmer with a lifetime of experience behind him - more than that really, as he also has the accumulated experience of several generations of his family who have farmed the same property for years. He seemed completely straightforward to me. Not like a duplicitous agent of **agri-business**. Obviously it is from his side of things. But he's got an informed POV. And personally I like to read things on various sides of an issue. Mara
