Hi Stefany, from a Native Portsmouth/Ironton girl... If you're having

surgery at OSU, you won't be having DS....will you? I checked with OSU when

I was researching last year, and they told me they performed only RNY. Have

they finally joined this century? Welcome and tell us more about

yourself!

Hi Stefany,

In my search to have this surgery I discovered

something about the insurance co, Let your surgeon

contact the insurance co about the DS. They know the

codes to use and how to explain why you need this

surgery above all others. Have you decided on a

surgeon yet? If Dr. Maguire is in your network, he

does both the RNY and the DS. There would be no need

to tell the insurance you're considering changing if

you go to him. Then he can take it from there and get

the final approval for the DS. Let me know how it

goes. I hope you get what you want! Angel
