Guest guest
It would seem that the Employment Standards Administration (ESA) Wage and Hour would be the best source at this time because they do the employer visits and review of wages are a big part of their investigatory visits. >>> Hedgren.@... 12/21/01 11:37AM >>> Does anybody know the average hourly pay for a migrant farmworker in the U.S. I have been to the DOL and USDA website and can't seem to find anything. The USDA has an average pay for hired workers but not migrants. I have to put together a report and was wondering if anybody has any tips. Guest guest
I'm not aware of how ESA figures average wage, but I AM aware that in more than one instance, farmworker wages have been figured on the basis of their earning at the time, then multipied by 12 months. This did not take into account that the worker only worked 6 months out of the year, and therefore, presents an unreal picture of annual wages.
