Hi

Sorry, I can't help with your gastritis issue, but I was intrigued by your

intolerance of broth made with chicken bones. Have you tried bones from other

types of meat, e.g., beef? Apparently, the bone broths are recommended as they

are very anti-inflammatory. Also, how do you fare with the gelatin? I have

come across a number of articles stating that gelatin is not only beneficial on

its own, but also helps with the digestibility of other foods when eaten

together. Here are a couple of (lengthy! but information-dense) articles which

may be of help:

Hi Licia,

Thank you so much for the information - i'll check out the links. I think i may have tried beef broth once in the very beginning of the diet but mostly chicken - even the organic chicken bothered me. I've read that cooking meat, poultry, etc. for a long time can bring out a lot of the glutamites and maybe that's what i'm sensitive too? I will try the beef broth again though and see how it goes. Beef seems to increase my acidity i think but would love to get the benefits of the bone broth. I tried a Kroger brand gelatin in the beginning of the diet w/Welch's and i know the Welch's bothered me and i think the Kroger gelatin did also. But, in August when i had my routine colonoscopy and my first endoscopy i found some Knox gelatin and tried that with just water during my prep and it seemed to be ok.

I did the candida spit test this morning and had strings and cloudiness at the bottom which i wasn't surprised especially since i'm taking the liquid carafate that contains illegal sorbitol. I also did a urine acid test and i was at 5.5!

Thanks again so much for the links and info! :)
