Elle,

I have made regular charity donations of perfectly good clothing, some with

tags still on, that I've outgrown over the years. But the one I'm holding on

to, and I WILL WEAR IT AGAIN, is the Chines red Adele Simpson dress that my

dh bought me 9 years ago when I lost 100 lb.(on Nutrisystem) which I

promptly regained. That dress is my goal. Someday I hope to give it away

because it's too baggy!

I love hearing about women who have saved their clothes through the sizes.

In the bottom of one of my closet drawers is a pair of hip size 34, low

waist purple sweded denim bell bottom jeans, with purple and teal ribbon

on the bottom.

I can clearly remember the last summer I wore these, prior to getting

pregnant in 1974.

With a teal crop top, we played volleyball into the dark, I'd put on my

platform shoes and walk home.

I have lost weight and gained weight and lost again over the past 28

years, and those jeans have been my gauge. I've hesitated setting such

a goal, for as someone posted, what our bodies looked like 28 years ago

ain't the same as today...for me much has cone south,k been caught by

gravity or whatever.

But, I'm gona get into those jeans again. Some day. I may not add the

crop top and I may be 60 when I do it but I am going to do it.

yo - grannie rides again!!
