I was a pharmaceutical sales rep for 10 years. With my first company I called on mostly OB/GYN's. I would walk into an office and the waiting room would be filled to the gills and I would think, " OMG if you only knew about this guy! " His nurses hated him the labor and delivery nurses hated him but his patients loved him. He had disciplinary actions taken against him but his patients had no idea. When I moved to a different town and was pregnant with my twins I called the best hospital in town and asked for the L&D floor. I asked several nurses for their personnal OPINION on several OB's. They concurred that one Dr had both excellent surgical skills and bedside manner. I ended up going to him and he was great. BTW, my first son was posterior and during delivery he distressed. They had to use suction and I had a 4th degree tear. OUCH! Good luck on your upcoming surgery.
