Although I did not go through therapy, I spent a lot of time in self

reflection. Your thoughts on this is exactly were I was and am now. These

are all precisely the reasons I chose this procedure. I don't think I would

have had wls if I hadn't come across the BPd/DS. I was definitely too scared

of failure with any other procedure. It would not have been worth the

devastation risk of having surgery, losing weight, and gaining it back. Just

the mere chance of gaining it all back could have created a self fulfilling

prophecy for me. I would have had the mindset of all the other diets I have

been on since age 8. Although the BPD/DS is not a guarantee that I will or

remain " thin " , from what Dr. Hess told me there is no possibility of being

" really fat " and that is a good enough guarantee for me!
