Guest guest
Teri, Although I did not go through therapy, I spent a lot of time in self reflection. Your thoughts on this is exactly were I was and am now. These are all precisely the reasons I chose this procedure. I don't think I would have had wls if I hadn't come across the BPd/DS. I was definitely too scared of failure with any other procedure. It would not have been worth the devastation risk of having surgery, losing weight, and gaining it back. Just the mere chance of gaining it all back could have created a self fulfilling prophecy for me. I would have had the mindset of all the other diets I have been on since age 8. Although the BPD/DS is not a guarantee that I will or remain " thin " , from what Dr. Hess told me there is no possibility of being " really fat " and that is a good enough guarantee for me!
