Guest guest
Robynn wow thats terrible about the trashcan, but thank god for them when we need them ! My son had a flu last week vomiting all night and drive heaves half of last friday, maybe you had the flu ? in any case, sorry that happened to you. Thats great progress your making, i bet you feel good and proud of yourself ! I have not gotten trashcan sick yet since my surgery and its funny but there are certain things i will not eat for the fear of that happening and one of them is lettece..................i loved salad before, and i eat salad now, like a cucumber tomato red onion and avacado, maybe some shrimp, but i just have this fear of lettece...............hamburger meat in a patty makes me feel ill smelling it and looking at it, but if it is crumbled in taco seasoning or spagetti sauce i am ok with it...............i think the patty denseness is too much for me. I grilled new york steak on thurs night for dinner and didnt chew it that well, sort of made me feel not well, i have done trip tip and since it was sliced thinner i think i did better, i think i am just going to go back to filet mingon for steak, lots of protein there. something i found for myself that is a good treat is the healthy choice fudge bars, i think they are like 70 or 80 calories and they have only 3gr of sugar and it feels rich and satisfying like ice cream. colleenRobynn VanPatten wrote: Still pretty darned tired. I eased into work...worked a few hours each day...and then Friday, i was sick (Thursday, I wound up getting sick into my trashcan a zillion times...and not because I ate anything I wasn't supposed to.) Not dumping, exactly, more things getting stuck. Today I'm better.... Oy... I was told that sometimes the pouch gets collicky for a little while once you've been out for six weeks or so...I'm ahead of schedule on that, but hey... I'm down 25 lbs. since the surgery, and 51 in total... YAY!! I have posted a picture of myself and my friend Shonda, we both had our surgery together on the same day, our surgeons assisted in each others surgery. We met through a woman i had met in a class, she gave Shonda my email and we emailed for about two months before our surgery, we met the day before stayed at the same hotel in san francisco, had our last meal together and have just become the best of friends. We call ourselves the twins, and oddly enough in this photo without planning we our wearing almost the same thing even down to her red white and blue hightops to my red white and blue flag sandals...............we wonder if there was something in the anthesia LOL.....................I feel really lucky to have had this surgey and to have gained such a good friend, I feel like i have known her for years and our husbands get along really well also, god is so good to me !
