-Post what you are eating. What kinds of " breads " ? Maybe some of the " old

timers " here can be helpful.

6 years ago. I posted shortly after starting the diet, about 10 months ago how I

have been unable to taper off prednisone for 6 years and was desperate to try

SCD in hopes of it helping me finally get off prednisone. The diet has been one

of the most difficult things I've ever tried to do. Had a chef come once a week

to help me cook, was very strict with all I ate. 10 months later I don't know

if it's really helping me or not because nothing has really changed.

all the posts all along as well, but some people really see a difference, and I

really haven't (other than extreme weight loss and less bloating). I've been on

LDN for 8 months as well, prednisone 10mg/a day but not feeling well enough to

taper more. So I guess the question is, how long do I stick it out or do I let

it go and just continue to watch what I eat and what bothers me, which I already

knew.

already gained a few pounds back (see it in the thighs)

goodness they found it in time. Said it was probably due to birth control

(Yasmin) but also with an IBD there is greater chance. Just wanted to warn you

all out there. National lawsuits pending with yasmin and blood clots. Suggest

you change if you're on it with an IBD.

..

Besides posting exactly what you are doing..

I found that birth control (including Yasmin- was on it for years) made my

Crohn's so much worse. Birth Control pills destroyed the health that I did

have. I am convinced of this.

Have you checked your yeast levels? Many times when LDN is not

functional

on IBS people, it is because yeast prevents it from working.

(I don't yet have the biochemical explanation clear of why this is the

case -

so cannot further elucidate at the moment.)

Possibly also the prednisone is effecting the LDN.

Sure Holly..

Just like everything it's highly individual it's just many are unaware when

Birth Control does not work for them, making them worse and continue taking it.

I wish someone would of told me so I could of looked at it more in depth.
