Guest guest
Hi, svt3183, (Do you have a name? We're a friendly bunch around here, and like to know who we're talking to....) First, Elaine Gottschall always said to take necessary meds. Where did you get the idea you ought to quit all your meds? There are plenty of people who have become med-free, but there are also plenty of people who are doing well with SCD and also continuing their meds. There are also people who will leap in to tell you about LDN, low-dose naltrexone. Second, the diet WORKS, but it takes time. You didn't get sick over night. You won't heal overnight. Third, have you kept a food diary? Did you start with an intro diet? How did you introduce new foods? What are you currently eating? — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
Guest guest
Dear Friend, Yes, I agree with Marilyn. The diet works, but not overnight. Pls listen to Marilyn, she is correct. I was in your shoes last year, now I am in remission, I wish to give up eating rice forever. One thing I have realised is, one should try to stick to the SCD even during remission. This group will do its best to find a solution for you, I know how diffcult it is to have faith during a flaire-up, but pls keep your spirit high. Sandhya Subject: Re: When to throw in the towel?
