Just wondering. Most people do see some results in a month. What Elaine said was that she had to set some kind of limitation on it, and chose " one month " as being something that most people could commit to. Typically, people feel enough better, even if all their symptoms have no resolved (and healing DOES take time!) that they are then willing to commit to another month, and another month, and another month. Kind of like the Alcoholics Anonymous motto of " one day at a time. " If you tell someone that they must give up all their accustomed food forever and ever and ever, it's entirely too daunting. But if you take it in shorter periods of time, it's dealable. For myself, I'd say 6-9 months, because there is often a flare around 3 months when the bad bacteria fight back against the evil person starving them out, which can cause some folks to say, " Oh, SCD doesn't work! Look at this awful flare I'm in. " And yes, it's a method of eating which IS healthful and sensible. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
