Guest guest
Alyssa, I think that this daily food diary is a great idea! You're doing fabulously, and before you know it, you'll be at goal weight. :0) I thought I would post my diary for the last two days as well for those of you who find it helpful to see what a post-op eats. I am 11 weeks out as of yesterday. I always try to get in as close to 64oz of water daily, but usually fall a bit short. I also take 12 Vita4life vitamins every day (Can't wait to see my first set of blood results after being on these vitamins for 3 months). YESTERDAY Breakfast - One Chorizo and Egg Burrito with Salsa (this has about 2 eggs in it and Chorizo is a mexican sausage). Lunch - A Malibu Chicken sandwich (Chicken breast with a slice of ham, melted cheese, lettuce, and tomato). I usually eat just the insides and dump the bun because it takes up too much room. A small bag of Potato Chips, and a glass of Iced Tea. Dinner - Carnitas Michoacanas (Small seasoned cubes of pork meat), about 1/8 of a cup of refried beans, a couple of bites of rice, half of a small tortilla, and a few tortilla chips dipped in salsa. TODAY Breakfast - One Chorizo and Egg Burrito with Salsa. Lunch - Philadelphia Cheesesteak wrapped in a tortilla instead of on a hoagie, small bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos, and a glass of Iced Tea. Snack - 4 pieces of dried fruit. Dinner - Haven't had yet, but it will be Roast Beef with potatoes and carrots. I will mainly eat the beef, but will have a few bites of the vegetables. TIP: When I have a sandwich, I try to wrap it in a tortilla instead of using bread. I find bread way too filling, and the tortilla is used basically to hold the food I want. If I find an area that is mostly tortilla, I rip it off and toss it out, so I'm not even eating the whole tortilla. Also, I'm now lactose intollerant due to the DS surgery and I find that many breads have milk in them. Most tortilla's don't have milk in them, so this helps me out.
