I can't believe the weekend is already over .....................I am tired and ready for bed but the 13 year old isnt home yet, he is three houses down watching a movie with a 14 and 15 year old girls............of course he is in his glory and ohh to be young again, we gave him an 11:30 curfew for tonight so i have 15 more minutes before i can go to sleep in good conscious....my husband is already snoring.................we took him to a baseball game for fathers day i think the sun, hotdogs and beer did him in..........he is out like a light. Today was the first time i was somewhere in public like a baseball game where the constantly bring food and bark about food, i did ok, didnt want

Hey there, Colleen.

I'm home for another ten days. I'm doing pretty good, but definitely tired, frequently. I havle the meeting with the surgeon tomorrow..I'm hoping I'm advanced to Stage III...it's not that I'm tired of the food...it's just that I'm hungry, in a weak way, you know? I think I need the protein, because I'm a pretty muscular person...and so that's getting to me.

It kinda bummed me out, because I thought I wouldn't be hungry this early, and it worries me. At the same time, I'm not overwhelmingly hungry. It's not bad at all. I'm just surprised I can eat with no problem. The only thing that causes me any discomfort is water, oddly enough. I get very burpy. But other stuff doesn't bother me at all.

How much exercise were you doing at this point (I'm 12 days out, tomorrow.)? I haven't been working out nealry as much as I assumed I would be able to do. Today, for example, I just walked down to Chestnut Street and back. Usually takes about 10 or 12 minutes each way, when I'm spry. Of course, just getting to and from my apartment is some mandatory exercise (four flights of stairs). Yesterday, i did the Chestnut Street and back...and then later, my sister and I went to the Farmer's market, and walked from my house, over to Fillmore and Chestnut. That was quite a bit further.

It is odd, the first few days I was home, I could go further. i walked down by the water, and went relatively far...maybe a mile. But, I seem to be getting more and more tired, as opposed to the opposite.

I'm taking my vitamins, and eating what I should. I guess it's normal to be so tired initially. I was probably pushing too hard at first..

I don't think it's anything bad...and I will recover soon enough. I just thought I'd be walking an hour or more a day at this point. (I was in very good shape before the surgery). Is that unrealistic? When did you start picking up on the exercise without being so darned wiped out?

Thanks, Colleen and . that is good to know. I'm confused, I thought you didn't get sliced deli meat UNTIL stage III. Are you meaning stage IV?Colleen Garner wrote:

Hi Robynn

Well on stage two i was never ever hungry, so i am not sure how to advise you, i was awful on the water, and i think a lot of my tiredness was from being somewhat dehydrated, it wasnt till a month ago that i could actually take a few swigs of water at one time................. Once i went to stage 3, i was glad i was so sick of sliced deli meat....................i still prefer cottage cheese to sliced deli meat. I could only eat ground hamburger if it was all smooshed up and broken up and to this day i dont do well with groundbeef unless it is in spagetti sauce or taco style................at your point in time i was just walking outside for a half hour at a shot or so.

I only get hungry now if i forget to eat or get busy at work. hope it works out for you
