Guest guest
Pam and if I made add to it...God is never going to place you in a situation that He won't bring you out of or make a means of escape. We go through things so that we can be a living testimony to others that will come behind us. God has equipped you to have a child with the different illness and He saw that you were qualified. You know when special children are sent to parents, God just does not send them to anyone. He knows that it is going to take someone who will be qualified and who will have the patience to take care of them. It takes a special kind of love and although during the process we don't see it...in the end, we do. Here is a little poem that was given to me when I found out that both my boys were Autistic... Heaven's Special Child (by Edna Massimilla) A meeting was held quite far from Earth. " it's time again for another birth " said the angel to the Lord above. This special child will need much love. His progress may be slow, accomplishment he may not show and he'll need extra care from the folks he meets down there. He may not run, laugh or play. His thoughts may seem quite far away. In many ways he won't adapt and he'll be known as handicapped. So let's be careful where he is sent. We want his life to be content. Please, Lord, find the parents who will do a special job for you. They may not realize right away the leading role they're asked to play but with this child sent from above comes stronger faith and richer love. And soon they'll know the privilege given in caring for their gift from heaven. Their precious charge so meek and mild is heaven's very special Child. So Pam, the next time you are having a down moment, just remember that you were appointed by God to care for one of heaven's jewels.. This along with prayer and faith has gotten me by over the years.
