, this is indeed a good place to learn, but name calling and flaming, even out of frustration, is just not acceptable behavior. You, your curiosity, your experience, your questions are all very much welcome -- and do please bring along your sense of humor. Tom is a post op and has had some pretty awful complications -- search the threads for his stories and you will find out a lot about what can go wrong. He is also a pretty bright guy. Joe Frost is also a very informed long time lister who has had some bad complications. There are many many folks on this list with bits of information which can help you -- but you gotta be patient with our various eccentricities and styles. And none of us will call you names for asking questions -- all we ask is that you return the favor.

We are all just folks on a journey, and we all have opinions, which may or may not hold water in the end. Don't forget to cruise the WLS sites, lots of scientific info is to be found there -- put there by the folks who actually have degrees in medicine and have some expertise!
