Guest guest Posted May 3, 2001 Report Share Posted May 3, 2001 Dear Jodie, I talked to Tammy at my insurance co. and she said that they would agree to let me see Dr. Maguire. She figures I might have a better chance at getting what I want approved if I go to a Dr. that they have all ready approved me to see. Now that's not a promise. They will approve the RNY no questions asked, but the DS is another matter. Tammy said since they approved a consult with Dr. Maguire that he could make up a treatment plan and re-submit for the DS. I figure the way the Dr. words it will hopefully get it through since he's worked with them before. Don't know if he ever got the DS approved through Cigna HMO, but he has worked with them before. Maybe I'll call the office and ask if they ever got the DS approved through Cigna HMO tomorrow. Hope to hear a YES! Will let you know. Thanks for your e-mail. Talk to you soon.
