Guest guest
thanks so much everyone for your help in answering my endoscopy questions. it was a breeze!! i asked for extra dope, 'i want to be completely unconscious' i said and i was. after he injected the valium and demerol into my iv i was out in a few seconds. i woke up in mid sentence in the recovery room. apparently i had been talking for sometime, explaining about my up coming surgery. my husband heard me as i came down the hall. i didn't sleep at all after waking up, which i did almost instantly. i was in recovery for about 50 minutes then my husband signed me out and took me home. the end!! being in the hospital really got me excited about my upcoming surgery. suddenly i had this feeling that i was going to be fun to stay in the hospital (i never have before). my family will be there with me the entire time, and i'll finally be getting this life saving, life changing surgery! i can't wait. i'm very excited and ready to go at the drop of a hat. whatever little bit of anxiety i had left seems to be gone, and now i'm just ready ready ready! are we there yet? are we there yet? are we there yet??! thanks again everyone. i can't tell you how much i appreciate your caring and support. erika 5'2 " , 281.5#, bmi 51.5 surgery date 5.11.01 11:30 am dr. herron
