Guest guest
Yes, it's all true. To explain my recent absence from this forum: I've been a tad busy lately. On 05/17 I had my first round of reconstructive surgery and lost 11 pounds in six hours. I returned to work on 06/23, to a huge steaming pile of equine effluence. I've been digging myself out from under ever since. 06/30 was the end of our fiscal year, so now I'm swamped with year-end/budget/audit stuff. Meanwhile, on 06/18 Martha (Yes, THAT Martha, for those of you besides Shell who know her) and I finally admitted to each other that what had been a two-year mutual attraction, friendship, and flirtfest was in fact the real deal. Some of you had already guessed or seen the BST (Bright Shiny Thing - M's engagement ring). After the big reveal at last Saturday's KSSF meeting, I guess this is the final forum to be addressed. I've spent the past month being vetted, feted, and presented to her extensive family of choice. (It's hell being popular!) I still can't get over the fact that the love of my life was sitting across the aisle from me at those KSSF meetings for two years. I guess I finally reached a point in my recovery (after despairing of ever loving or being loved again) where I could be open to an alternative universe in which it was not only possible, but in which it actually happened! To all my fellow travelers rowing in that boat, all I can say is that if it can happen to me, there's hope for everybody! They say that we should reward ourselves for each of the accomplishments/victories along this journey. All I can say, is that this is the reward of a lifetime!
