This is also a rather complicated surgery, esp. compared to something like appendectomy. One of the things that is helping me make my decision is that I ended up having a full cardiac evaluation done in February - a muscle spasm in my back did a good job of imitating a heart attack, and really gave me a scare. Anyway, I came back from a cardiac cath with an absolutely clean bill of health as far as my heart is concerned, and I'm feeling like maybe I ought to act now before I develop any problems there.
