Don't give up !!!! You just need to try harder I am sorry if that sounds harsh but that is how I feel That small meal you ate is not worth it and what are you teaching your son ? You said you went there to play well what about the park or a swimming pool ? You need to ask yourself how bad do you really want this

there is a documentary on HBO called Super Size Me if you can find it please watch it. If for no one else for your son I wish you success .

Yesterday I went toMc's with my son so that he could have dinner, (real healthy, Iknow), but primarily so that he could play on the play structure as hehad been driving me CRAZY all day long!! While there, I ate a mediumfries, cheeseburger, (the small version), and a medium (regular) coke. Granted, the old me would have had a Big Mac, fries and a coke, bothsupersized; but the point is is that I despartly want to lose thisweight and become healthy!! Sometimes I feel as if I should just giveup and give in, but I don't want to... I really want to lose thisweight! Any thoughts?Pam

Thanks Deborah, for your advice. And you are right, we

could have just as easily gone to the pool. (the park

is very difficult for me right now as I have a

difficult time ambulating. At least while in the pool,

my son can't get very far away from me!:))

I will remember that for next time we need to get out

of the house on the week-ends.

Pam,

A woman I know who went through WLS pointed out that she still has to

live in the real world - potlucks at work and attending banquets are

part of her job, and she had to learn how to deal with them. I

suspect that that's one reason they make us lose that 10% - to show

that we can deal with that sort of thing. Don't beat yourself up about

going to Mickey D's.

You did better than you would have before, but there are choices that

you could have made that would have been better. . . instead of a

burger and fries, maybe a salad with low-fat dressing (and only use

part of the dressing; it's loaded with calories!) Instead of Coke, how

about bottled water (I think they sell it there?) or milk? Or, of

course, you could have Diet Coke - still soda, but at least it's

sugar-free.

Cathy

I need some advise from those

who have gone through the process, as
