Hi Alyssa,

Any reason you can't bring snacks? I can't eat anything that holds me that long

as it would be too hard to digest.

Having said that, if you put fat with your carbs and/or protein, like olive oil

or coconut oil, it holds you for much longer.

Putting avocado in your smoothie could do the trick also. Idea for low sugar

fruit is berries (blue, straw, ras and cram:o).

Hope this helps,

Have you tried a dollop of drained yogurt over top of scrambled

eggs? Especially good if eggs are scrambled with ¼ tsp. turmeric (melt butter

in skillet, add ¼ tsp turmeric, then eggs). When eggs are done, transfer to a

plate, sprinkle with salt ( & pepper). Dollop on some dripped yogurt –

delish and will hold you (can’t promise 4 hours!). If you tolerate avocado

slice that up with your eggs & yogurt.

Can you sneak a snack in the morning between classes?

Since I just found out I can't eat almond

butter anymore, I'm going to

have to rethink my whole breakfast, unfortunately. Eggs, even if I eat

three, only hold me for 2 hours or so, and I need something to hold me

for almost 4 hours. The almond butter is the only thing I've found so

far that holds me that long. Anyone have any thoughts as to why eggs

don't hold me but almond butter does?

Can you sneak a snack in the morning between classes?I could try.. But that's why I'm thinking smoothie, since I can drink it between classes instead of getting out a tupperware and a spoon and eating some strange looking food =) But my only fruits right now are bananas (bad for yeast) and applesauce, and I'm not sure if applesauce would be particularly yummy in a smoothie. So that's why I need to know about whether frozen fruit is considered cooked or raw. LOL! Yes, it's major yuck! I teach middle school band and I have to remind the

kids to NOT bring a snack unless they want disgusting mold growing in their

instruments.

I love applesauce on top of, or mixed with dripped yogurt, with

cinnamon sprinkled on top. And I find it delicious in a smoothie as well. You

could try it. I am always surprised at how well these foods combine.
