I don't think I have ever had a completely silent room to sleep in. I worked nights for 21 years in a hospital and even to this day I LOVE sleeping in the day. I now sleep at night but.... it is with the TV on. When I had my sleep study it was really hard. In fact I think I sang myself to sleep( in my head of course because you know it is hard to sing with THE MASK on. HA,HA.)
