Dr. told me she wants to get " in and out " of surgery ASAP

and does not remove the gallbladder or appendix.

Hope this info helps,

It is possible to have more that one surgery at a time. My WLS was

secondary to having a giant ovarian cyst and both ovaries removed. My

surgery was open instead of Lap because of the size of the cyst. I was

under anesthesia for 5 and a half hours. My gynecologist operated on me

first and then Dr. Rabkin and Jossart. However, I was in fairly good

shape -- strong heart and lungs -- no diabetes or sleep apnea. What

with the removal of the cyst (which weighed about 15 to 20 lbs.),

ovaries, 3/4 of my stomach, gallbladder and appendix -- I figure I had

a pretty good head start on my weight loss!
