Guest guest
I insist that he eat about a 500+ calorie snack right at bedtime every night.I've read that this isn't very good for you..It may make you put on weight, but IMO it might slow down the healing process. The time that your body actually heals is at night while you sleep, so if you eat a lot right before you go to bed, it makes your body have to deal with the food before it can even think about healing your gut. I guess it's probably different for everyone though, as usual, so if it works for you, then that's cool =) Just something to think about.. For myself, even though I'm trying to LOSE weight, I need a snack about a half an hour before bedtime, or I wake up in the middle of the night, starving, and unable to sleep because I'm so hungry. I chose to eat my snack half an hour to an hour before bed time to give the system a chance to handle the heavy-duty digestion, and to eliminate the probability of GERD symptoms. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund

Sometimes, the better educated we are, the easier it is to make mistakes when we're in a panic.
