Guest guest
Are acorns - or acorn flour - legal? I'm watching the deer eat the acorns and wondering. Apparently they used to play a large part in the diet of Native Americans. Turns out they have to be leached of a bitter tannin taste by boiling them, but after that, they are easy to work with as a meal or flour. And they can be pickled, too. http://www.motherearthnews.com/Real-Food/1970-05-01/Food-Without-Farming.aspx?pa\ ge=2 Snort. And that's today's survivalist fantasy question!
