Guest guest
What is plaquinil & what does it do to sarc Plaquenil is Hydroxycloroquine-- (quinine) and helps with inflammation. It seems to like the bronchial and lungs-- by helping to reduce some of that inflammation. You do have to watch your vision--- (DO NOT GO OUT AND BUY QUININE AND JUST START TAKING IT!!) because too much can cause blindness. When you're on Plaquenil, it's essential to get your eyes checked every 6 months for toxicity--so that if any damage is being done to the retina- stopping the Plaq early on and the damage can be reversed. Generally, you need a second medication (Imuran or Methotrexate) along with the Plaquenil-- so that systemic issues of sarc are being addressed.
