Guest guest Posted March 28, 2006 Report Share Posted March 28, 2006 Steve is very, very ill. He is in ICU. With a breathing tube, and lots of pain meds. My last email to you guys was telling you how good his care giver was. NOT! She abused him, stole from him, money and drugs, and threatened to send him to nursing home. Sometimes he didn't get anything to eat until 2pm. and he has lost over 20 pounds in last few months. He was afraid to tell anyone because she threatened him. I am still on the disabled list, and he knew I couldn't come in and stay with him. He finally called me and said he needed help, he is bed ridden and completely dependent on his care giver. Sometimes he was left in care of a 14 year old. His bed sores were so bad, a child's fist could fit in the sore. She was being paid by The State 24/7 but was leaving him to go to another job. Just be careful who you hire. The authorities can't do anything. No proof!! And please pray for him. He is strong but is just getting over pneumonia, and being run down is not helping his condition any. I am staying at his apartment to take care of his dog. Have found all kinds of notes he has written. Like she left the front door open and cold air coming in right on him, took 7 times for her to answer his call for something to drink, and for his pain meds. On and on. We should have paid more attention, but she didn't encourage company. She told my grandaughter it wasn't necessary for her to check on him. He was fine. And he wouldn't tell anyone.
