Guest guest
Aiazeen At one year on SCD I was still limited on the foods I could tolerate, still dealing with a candida overgrowth, still getting my digestive symptoms under good management. I was certainly doing better than when I started SCD, but I was still "in process" at one year. The moment when I realized I was doing great was at the end of year 2. The 2nd year was certainly a lot more even in terms of symptom flares, and I was adding a few more foods by the end of the 2nd year. But I didn't feel healed until the end of the 2nd year. Year 3 was better than year 2, and I've stayed fairly even in terms of symptoms since year 3. I'm halfway through year 5. I have functional digestive disorders, so I still can't eat all the permitted foods, and have to be careful with foods, always. But symptom management was my goal, figuring out how to keep symptoms minimal and less intrusive in my daily life. And I've reached that, thanks to SCD. In other words I didn't expect a cure, just wanted minimal symptoms. Of course I'm still dealing with a slowly deteriorating nervous system, so I am still dealing with health issues and frustrations when my body doesn't work as it used to. But I stay on SCD with just the occasional illegal because it keeps my digestion is as stable as it can be, which leaves me some energy to cope with all the other stuff going on. Kim M. Just a little over a year and still on limited foods. Hoping that is normal.aiazeenSCD 1 yr 1/2 monthImiprame 30 mgAsacol 800mg/3x per day
