So, reading a lot of anecdoctal stories about the diet, I'm getting excited about my fistulas closing up. Really looking forward to that actually. And I know that everyone is different and it takes time, but I've been improving so much, I'm going to bring it up with my surgeon tomorrow.

Actually, my son's fistulas closed on their own without any surgery after a year on SCD. So if you're not interested in surgery just be patient!
