Guest guest
Stacey, I'm trying to recall - did you ever just do the Pep and no ZP? I am really curious to see how he does without it after today. After dropping the ZP for a few days, if you still have problems, I wonder if the new AFP Pep would work because of having no fruit-based enzymes. Then, the last thing I would try would be to use only the No-Fenol. So - I would try ONLY each of those alone, one at a time with nothing else for several days. You intuition will be the best guide, though, and don't force yourself to stick with something if it doesn't feel right.
Guest guest
Stacey, I would *guess* it's not the bromelain then, but I'd still do what you are trying and drop the ZP for awhile and just do one of the others. I wouldn't continue if you saw nothing but problems, but since you've seen some improvements, I think I'd try just a little longer. You get the award for patience here. Guest guest
Stacey, When did you start the diet compared to when you started the enzymes? I am not sure if I ever mentioned to you about the gluten removal that happened to us. We added in soy and rice to replace the gluten (had been CF for about 7 months with improvements) and he regressed. It was a terrrible regression. He lost all of his words and his self-injury and violent aggression returned. Everyone kept telling us it was withdrawal. We stuck with it for almost 6 weeks and it only got worse. We gave up and returned to the little bit of wheat he ate (and removed the soy and rice). He returned to " normal " in almost 3 days. His language came back and his behavior was almost back to where it was. We then went to a doc (about 2 months later) and did the MRT Leap Food and Chemical Test and guess what? He was highly reactive to soy and reactive to rice!!!!!! Do you think there is something in any of the new foods (that are now being broken down more) that could be causing this (besides any yeast issues)? Hope it gets better, Theresa, SA
Guest guest
We go to Hanger. > > > > 5 week update...... My son turned 8 months today, and he had an appointment yesterday with his ortho. He has been in his helmet for 5 weeks. He was 6 3/4 months old and his measurements were 20mm, in 2 weeks and 3 days of wearing the helmet 23/7 he went to 13mm, and at 5 weeks he is now at 11mm. He slowed down a lot this time but he was out of room, so at his appointment yesterday the helmet was shaved almost completely on the left side where is was noticeably flat. We will see at our next appointment how things have changed he will have been in the helmet 8 weeks at that time. He does have a little red spot on the back of his head where the spacer was it looks like it broke the skin. Our ortho told us to keep and eye on it and keep triple antibiotic cream on it, and the spacer was removed. It is amazing how things have changed in 5 weeks... Fingers are crossed that the good work keeps up. > > > > > > 8 month son 5 weeks in helmet > > >
