Guest guest
I do want to make one thing perfectly clear here, publicly. I have sometimes been a critic of the way Richmond does things. There are aspects to their program that I absolutely disagree with, and I will NOT pretend I don't. BUT I am also eternally grateful for what they DID do for me. I think the surgery probably saved my life. I think that technically they did a stellar job! This does not mean I was at death's door, because I was fortunate enough not to have any of the major comorbidities YET. And that is the key. I had the surgery not because of my current medical situation, but because I was convinced that with my family medical history, I WOULD develop the high blood pressure, high cholesterol, kidney damage, severe arthritis in the knees, etc. The surgery headed that off for me, and like I said, I am eternally grateful for that. But I do feel I have to be honest when I disagree with their program. If people do not let them know the truth, and where we feel they need to improve, they will never know. And that is doing a great disservice not only to the staff, but also other patients. Eleanor aka TORIH (Tact Of a Rhinocerus In Heat) Pamela A Marsh wrote: > Well said Eleanor.
