Guest guest
Does anyone have any tips on coping with the depression caused by my meds, Im so down, im not sleeping and I keep picking on my girlfriend over stupid things and little things are just getting blown out of proportion. Ive just had a replapse and its the first one Ive had since being with my girlfriend and now Ive had to increase my meds its hitting me hard, I warned her what I can be like but I dont think she understands and Im worried she wont be able to cope with my behaviour. I feel so lucky to have survived another attack as it is on my brain stem but Im so angry that I relapsed as I had made so much progress - now Im back to square one again, not only is my depsression coming back but all the usual side effects are appearing and i just dont know if I can cope with this again im so tired and in pain, I just dont kno what to do. Clair, Didn't you just do another huge round of solumedrol? So I imagine this is a prednisone caused depression? So many of us get so whacked out on the steroids--and the withdrawal--that we cna't use this choice of drugs anymore. It sounds like you too need something other than pred. Can your MD give you an antidepressant to counteract the steroids? I know this is so hard on relationships-- and yeah, when you've got huge doses of steroids in your body--everything is magnified so many times over. I want to say hang in there-- and I know that's what you will do-- just know we're here-- and if you need to vent--here's a good place. Let it rip-- and Rose will score your rant-- (and then we can put it back into perspective) because this does suck------- If you have a guided meditation tape--listen to it. Put on some soothing music, get a cup to green tea (decaf) and wrap up in our virtual blanket. Let it calm you, comfort you, and breath, slowly-- focus on your breath, and let it calm you. Close your eyes, and just be comforted. One breath at a time. Love to you, Tracie NS Co-owner/moderator
Guest guest
Clair, Sorry you can't take the St. s Wort but I am glad you are feeling better. A lot of us feel the same way about not working. I am lucky to have some money coming from disability from my job, but I would rather be out with people, not stuck in here looking at the four walls. Are you able to exercise? If so, try hatha yoga. It is great stress relief. Well, let me know hoe things go. Terri G. > >> > Clair,> > Didn't you just do another huge round of solumedrol?
