Guest guest
Whenever my fever spikes, I get what my ENT calls glossitis. Very painful sores worse on my tongue, but also on the roof of my mouth. He gave me an Rx for, (okay, brain fog is here, I can't think of the name of it!), but it is a liquid generally used to treat stomach ulcers. Instead of drinking it, he has me rinse my mouth out with it. It doesn't sure the sores, but it makes them much easier to deal with! > > I get canker (mouth) sores all the time, too. Usually the week b/f my period. They are wicked bad and make it difficult to eat, talk, etc. I get this green powder from Chinatown to put on them. It forms a little crust over the top and helps to protect it while it heals. It also numbs the pain a little bit and helps it to heal faster. I have no idea what is in it - it's probably soylent green or something (ha ha ha) - but I don't really care as it helps so much. If you live near a city with a Chinatown, just go to one of their apothocaries and tell them your symptoms and they can usually suggest something. > > - > > > > --------------------------------- >

Guest guest
I get these all the time especially when I get sick. I take warm salt water and rinse my mouth 3 times a day till they are gone. Which only take about 3 days to get rid of. Very cheap and easy to use. shirley mouth sores I get canker (mouth) sores all the time, too. Usually the week b/f my period. I have learned that they are manifestations of oral herpes, which 80% of the population has. I too get them frequently as well as the low grade fevers. Any herpes medicine will help them. There is one now where you take a pill (starts with a V...) once or twice a day and you never get an outbreak. I use a prescription cream called Zovirax, which if I apply it as soon as I notice symptoms they don't even form. I'm amazed reading these posts, at the similarities of my symptoms with others here. > > --------------------------------- >
Guest guest
I am here ,, just trying to put up with this dang mouth sores. I'm finding that I end up with the mouth sores after each Remicade infusion. It lasts just a day or so--but I can tell the difference. One of the products that has helped me is the BIOTENE mouth wash. It is non- alcoholic, and is so soothing. It helps with the dry mouth, and helps to correct the ph balance. They also make a toothpaste, and a gum. Check with your pharmacist-- I can find it at LONGS and Walgreens. Also, I find that the Liquid Acidophyllis also helps- especially if it turns into thrush.
