I'm thinking it was called > Nu-iron or something like that???? > Hey Nance-- I was on ferrous gluconate, which is an iron supplement you can get at most places that sell vitamins-- the gluconate version makes it easier on the stomach-- but all iron supplements can cause constipation -- which may or may not be an issue with DS-ers. It did not really kick in to help my post-op anemia until I added extra vit. E. All this was after a hysterectomy-- if and when I ever get switched, I guess I will have to find water soluable Vit. E.-- but for most folks, the ferrous gluconate is okay. It is not very expensive. But Joe Frost probablly has the real scoop on IRon supplements.
