Guest guest
I know I’m totally crazy, but I guess I’m going camping this weekend, our friends have an RV and they said I could stay in it with the air, etc.. but now they have backed out of going, but we have others counting on us going, so will do the tent, outdoor thing, just pray I don’t end up in the ERL. Will be in touch when I get back. Stay cool and well. Marla " Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible, and receives the impossible. Guest guest
Marla, It's good to hear from you! I was thinking about you this weekend. It was 110 here in Magalia- California-- and it's only down to 97 at 10pm. Last night it was 102 at 11:30--so this is a cold spell! LOL! I'm sitting here with the air on, the dogs are under the ceiling fan, and none of us is gonna move far. Guys, please say a prayer for Venture Crew 462. There are 6 adults, 4 kids up in the Trinity Wilderness- and last night a lighting storm started 14 fires in that area. My husband is one of them. I know that they are backpacking from lake to lake-- if they can get anywhere. I'm hoping that someone has a cell phone that can get reception, and a call out to let us know that all is ok. We'll see-- it is pretty extreme wilderness-- behind Mount Shasta and into a huge area of granite and marble mountains. Right now, with the thunder and lightening, you don't go up to a mountain peak unless you absolutely have to. 's supposed to be back Friday night, home for the weekend, and gone for 4 days (same area- different wilderness) the following week. Guest guest
A prayer will be said for you and the crew and husband. We had temps in the 100s for a few days here which is unusual, I stayed indoors then. The lake wasn’t too hot only in the 80s, with a breeze on Sat. so that wasn’t too bad, but got hotter Sunday, and that wasn’t a good day, but we came home that day so I survived, but I don’t think I will go again unless I can get completely out of the sun and outdoors. Our friends have an RV and they were suppose to go but last min. change, so next time if they go with their RV I think I can handle that! You know how it is, 3 steps forward 4 steps back, lOlJ. Have you found someone to go with you on Thursday, I sure hope so, please let us know how it went as soon as you get home.
