Guest guest
Has anyone had inflamation in the inner part of the upper eye lid? I have had this off and on for several months and neither my eye doc or my primary care could figure it out, but today the Eye doc said he thought that it was a manifestation of the sarcoid.... When it is inflamed my eyes water like crazy. Anyone have a problem with floresent lighting? My eye really react to it badly. The conjunctiva goes all the way from the white of the eye up the inside of both the top and bottom eyelids. This lining can get very dry, and irritated. The fact that your eyes "water" like mad-- means your eyes are dry, and that this area is inflammed. Restasis eye drops really help with this-- and are by prescription. Maybe the Ophthalmologist can give you some samples to try. Also, artificial tears-- (Stay away from Visine!)-- cannot be overused. Use them often and your eyes will stop tearing as much-- and be less iritated. If any kind of light, florescent or natural-- makes your eyes sensitive, you definately need them to address this issue. If you develop iritis or uveitis, you could easily lose your sight to glaucoma. Check out the ARCHIVES and read up on eye diseases-- I've done numerous posts on this issue, as eyes are secondary to pulmonary sarcoidosis, followed by lymphatic involvement. Guest guest
Thanks Tracie for the info. I have been battling Iritis for almost a year and my eyes are in better shape right not than they have been since Iritis was found last July. I use Systance eye drops. I am down to 1 drop of Prednisolone in my right eye and none in my left. I do use Azopt twice a day in both eyes. So no matter what condition the Iritis is in I continue to have the problem with artifical lighting...not natural lighing. It's just crazy! I had not found any reference to the eye lid swelling in the Archives but I will look further. Thanks again.
