Guest guest
I know that I'm really new to all of this, but I tend to want to know everything all at once. I also tend to be very optimistic. So, the optimistic side of me says that this is a wonderful diet and we need to stick with it for a couple of years and my son will be fine. He'll always have to eat healthy, but his UC should go into remission and never come back. He'll always need to eat gluten free and dairy " light " and be careful about sugar intake, but that's healthy for everyone. The realistic side of me is seeing that it's not that cut and dry. Some people still have problems years after switching to SCD and still need meds and are still not in remission. My question is: Is there anyone on here that has gone into remission and become med free and been able to expand their diet without problems? Is this a reasonable hope? Thanks, Liz
