Guest guest
Hi -- I am pretty sure I will go thru with the whole thing once/if Blue cross approves. The procedure Dr. A wants to do first is essentially a removal of the overhanging tummy fat I have, sometimes called an apron, but technically called a pannicula (I think that is spelled right, but I didn't get the spelling gene when I did get the fat gene -- sounds like a pasta dish to me) . The purpose is to make the "big" surgery easier on me and them, both. If you don't have a significant overhang, the Doc probably wouldn't mention it. I think that the procedure done after weight loss to remove excess skin from the abdomen is also called a panniculectomy, but that is a long way off for me! I am going to the meeting on the 17th -- since I work in downtown LA, I can hardly say I can't get there! Hope to see you at the next one.
