Nope. I do not mean it gets adjusted. I mean it gets removed. Dr. A was very

specific on this point ( had a patiend once who was very upset because she saw

her navel as a rememberence of being attached to her Mom, and didn't understand

it was going along with the pannus (thank you Teri for the correct spelling!))

Since this isn't a skin revision after weight loss, it is a fat and skin

removal, maintaining the blood supply to the navel is just too difficult, plus

innies (which mine is) are nasty breeding pools of bugs that make incisions go

ka-boom. so the upper incision is about 2 " above the navel, and the lower

incision is at the bikini line whsre I have a hysterectomy scar already, and

both go hip to hip. A giant cantaloupe wedge is taken out ( like a giant two

pointed dart, if you sew) and sewn back together. I expect they won't be as

neat as I am with darts, and I will have puckers on the ends. When and if I get

a skin revision after weight loss, I can have a new one bu!

ilt by the plastic surgeon, but a new one isn't the same as the old one.

So the navel goes into the trash heap with the heap of fat. Creepy thought.
