, I believe it's only natural to not see the big picture immediately after surgery, you're more concerned about pressing health issues, and on pain meds. Once one begins to heal physically and feel stronger, they're able to look at the situation clearly and question certain things that went on during they're surgery, hospital stay...time is needed for reality to sink in. This is normal. What happened to Deb is horrible for her, and I would feel just as violated as she does if the same happened to me. Maybe you would too, you don' t know because your surgery went smoothly, you recieved the procedure you were prepared for . I don't think it's right to compare other patients and how they handled their complications as opposed to another. That's not fair. We are here to support each other through the good and the bad . Try not to worry about Dr. Ren's career and reputation, that's her responsibility, she's got to be able to give rationals for her actions, she is a professional with a lot of lawyers. We as patients do not have as much legal support as our surgeons. Anyway, please do not take offense, just expressing an opinion. Beth
