Guest guest
I think that we don't get as much eating satisfaction out of drinking the protein shakes. In other words, you don't CHEW anything when drinking the shakes. Of course, I'm not a doctor, but I believe that we probably do absorb nutrients and protein throughout the digestive track, not just in the stomach. (I hope??) I bet that Richmond just wants their patients to get eating satisfaction out of the protein eaten by being able to CHEW the food. But, then, what does that say about cottage cheese? How many people really chew that stuff thoroughly? Just my humble opinion (and my 5 cents!). --Sandi > Eleanor, the person who mentioned that the Richmond nutritionist said that we don't get the benefit of the protein shakes might have had something there. I.e. how are we able to get the benefit of the shakes when they are a liquid? Of course I am still taking mine, and will continue to do so just in case, but do you know the answer? LaWanda who's curious.
