need to vent!!

Hi everyone......my surgery is scheduled for 4-30.....My insurance

hase been deciding for 5 weeks now.....now this morning I am told

that it was sent to the medical review board. I am crushed....I have

my heart set on next Monday...What happened was the procedure was put

in under 2 codes.....they said there is no problem with the gastric

bypass code but the second code is for some kind of

reconstruction...that is what confused them and had to put it in for

review. I guess this is better than being outright denied but it

hurts just the same. I was also told that if it is denied that they

won't even cover 80%...which is supposed to be my out of network

benefits. So, after a whole day yesterday of crying, complaining and

being lethargic, I have contacted Dr. Baltasar in Spain for a surgery

date .....just in case I am denied completely and have to self pay.

He gave me a date of June 4th.....it just scares me....the thought of

going out of the country for surgery......it was hard enough to

accept going out of state....LOL. Well, the girl working on my case

said that there is a possibility that we can negotiate on my coverage

if need be.......so wish me luck..... Sorry guys for venting to you,

it's just that my hubby and mom can't understand my need for this to

happen....NOW.....I have waiting 6 months for this and I was all

ready for next week.....I guess I will have to unpack my bags... :-(
