, I sent a couple of pictures of Brad after his last surgery for the cholesteatoma. As you can see, they only shaved a little bit of hair, and the incision goes right behind the ear. It's almost invisible once it heals. His ear does stick out a little for a few months. If Kathy's hair is longer than Brad's, it shouldn't be obvious! The white cup was to protect the ear & also catch drainage. He did have a lot of bloody drainage for a few days. He went back to work a few days after surgery, and hated looking "like a doofus." I think he only wore the cup for a week or so. The first time he had this surgery, when he was 10, his head was totally wrapped in gauze, like a turban, and he had to go to school like that for a few days! I don't know why Kathy will have to stay down for so long, unless the doctor thinks he's going to have to go into the inner ear, which could cause vertigo. Since she's had the infection for so long, that might be the case. Brad's infection has never gone farther than the middle ear.

Well, I don't know if you want to show these pictures to Kathy, but at least you'll have an idea what to expect. Oh, yeah, have her ask the doctor or anesthesiologist if they can give her a Relief Band for nausea. Brad always has severe nausea & the last time he came out of surgery with this plastic band, like a watch. There is an adjustable dial & it really works. He kept his on for several days, until the battery ran out. He said it helped with pain also.

Rose, You know far as names are, my suggestion would make some people think they are having a Nuclear Brain Malfunction or whatever. But it would have "double" the amount of people that are registered with this group. Ha! Ha! Ha! Right now my lower back is like on fire. It's that chilli pepper rhemy cream that I put on my lower back. See walking up to this library, I walk in a general northeastern direction with my back facing that "ole" sun up there in the sky. The heat from the sun and/or sunlight intensifies this burning pain from this cream. It will simmer down in about 15 minutes though because I'am indoors. Speaking of this chilli pepper cream, the other day on the radio they said scientists in Japan had used this ingredient in this cream called Capsaicin in mice that had Prostate Cancers in these mice. This Capsaicin made these cancer cells kill one another off. Sorta of weird science here. If you wish to

berserky or bonkers and have a temporary name change, how about Rosie Lynnsey, or Lynn with sometimes rosey face (this would do because of too much humor)??????? You may say people forget things because of sarcoid or just forgot. They don't need to change their name to add any self confusion. Kathy has been having dizzy spells about everyday now. It might because of having this Vertigo of a symptom of this Cholestealtoma or because her blood sugar was too low. The other day it was 97. The next day or two days later it went up to 190 something. Why does this fluctuate? At the V.A. clinic they told me anything higher than 120 is high or bad. I have to wait until May 3rd to see the eye doc. I could use my prescription sunglasses every

day. Is it bad to use sunglasses with only one lens in the frame? The other one pop out a couple of weeks ago.
