Guest guest
Jodie, Things didn't go too great. The NGT tube into the stomach was taken out a day too soo. Not to mention it was not in far enough to empty my stomach all the way. They took it out and and said I could then eat something. Three sips and I was ready to throw up. The next day I stil had the same filling. I asked them to reinsert the tube to drain my stomach. When they did I threw up everything. After that I felt GREAT until I tried to eat something. I was so swollen that I could not pass anything through my stomach. Once that was understood, it was great again. I did not want to eat anything anyway. Felt great. The night before I was to come home I decided to sleep in the bed. I had been sleeping in a recliner. It was alot more comfortable. At midnight while sleeping, I coughed. *big time*. Guess who now has a hernia that needs repair. That leads to more days in the hospital and a future trip to fix the hernia. Stomanch still swollen but getting better. I now hate protein drinks. With all that said, I would not go back or change my mind at all. I can say that Dr. K. is in my opinion the only choice for a DS surgeon and that the Delano hospital is the cleanest and best run hospitial I have ever been in. Don't let size fool you, they treated me like I was their ONLY patient. --- Jodie and jjjwats@...> wrote: > Welcome back ! Glad things went well for you > and you are on the switched side!
