Guest guest
, am I remembering right? Are you my neighbor that's from Alabama? -- RE: Digest Number 3029 Hello everyone! I was an active participant in this group until about 2 years ago. I am 50 years old and have been sick for 5 years. The illness came on suddenly with extreme fatigue and leg weakness. I have had every MRI in the book, two spinal taps, a mylegram, a PET scan, and all the usual blood work (sed rate, ESR, thyroid, etc.) I have seen Dr. Stern in Atlanta. It seems I am a very good test taker, everything "looks good." However, my ACE level consistently runs around 100+. The doctor's can't find a granuloma to biopsy so they have been undecisive about the diagnosis. I have been on Plaquenil, methotrexate, Solumedrol drip, and Prednisone. Plus the usual neurontin, baclofen, and Zoloft. I have been doing pretty good, but I still have a lot of leg pain in the backs of both thighs and across my butt (saddle pain). I still have myclonus reflexes, gait problems, balance problems, hesitation on urination and the "electric shock" sensations in my arms and legs as well as a burning sensation. Now I have developed inner ear problems, internal instestinal hemorads, and diverticulitus. My question: Any advice about where I should go from here?
