Dr. E. did a Lap BPD/DS on me last Wednesday. 3-1/2 hours. Incredible--awesome! First few days in the hospital were very painful, even with all the pain meds they gave me. But, today, five days post-op, I walked about 1/4 mile around my neighborhood, had my first real food, blenderized into a liquid slurry, and took my first shower. I am definitely on the mend. No need since Saturday for pain killers. Life is good! Dr. E. is awesome. Dr. E. may soon face a crisis in his office as his one key person (Shauntae) will be having a baby real soon now. And, he really needs 2-3 people to keep the paperwork moving along. So, the one caveat is that you will be responsible for keeping your case moving along. You will have to be gently persistent in checking, almost daily, that things are not being overlooked. And, you should get your outside testing done ASAP. Good luck, and keep doing your homework. --Steve > > >375 lbs, BMI 53, 38 yrs --
