No, BTVC doesn't specify an amount, and it was simply a suggestion to start slowly because the yogurt is very powerful, and too many probiotics to start for anyone, whether sick or healthy is not a good idea unless you don't mind dealing with bloating and possible diarrhea. Just like it also is advised to start slowly with anti-fungals. Merely to help someone avoid unpleasant side affects. The poster said they were having extreme bloating- and I suspected 3 cups of yogurt could have been a possible cause. Of course anything else could have caused it- but why not cut back on that and see if it doesn't help? I personally had a lot of bloating on the intro, and I believe it was from die-off.
