Just a little update on me. Today I'm 8 weeks post-op. My life is so

much different than it was just a mere 8 weeks ago. I've gone down 3

pant sizes and my energy level has increased greatly. I do water

aerobics a minimum of 4 times a week (and I've got a great tan to

show for it too -- that's something I haven't had since I was a kid -

- a tan that is). We went camping in Pacifica this past weekend to

escape the Sacramento heat. It was beautiful down there! We spent

all day Saturday in the city and I walked and walked and walked and

didn't poop out until about 8 hours of walking around. Woo-hoo! I

was taking Lopressor for an elevated heart rate twice a day. Now I

take it maybe once a day, depending upon what my heart rate/blood

pressure are. Life is good.

I have to say food is boring now though, which I guess is okay. I

eat because I need to but I get no satisfaction out of it. I

struggle with things to eat. Breakfast is my hardest (no eggs for

me) so I usually end up with my protein drink. Sturggling to get

water down these days too. I just can't seem to work myself back up

to 64 oz. but I work on it every day.

I leave for 10 days of vacation on the beautiful Washington & Oregon

coast. I can't wait! It'll be nice to have a little extra breathing

room on that flight to Portland.
